Security officials are leaving nothing to chance ahead of Raila's major declaration

- Kenyans are waiting with bated breath to see what Raila Odinga will announce on Tuesday, August 15.
 - He is expected to give a road map on the steps NASA will take next after rejecting the presidential election results.
- It is highly likely that he will table his evidence against the IEBC to show the election was manipulated in President Uhuru's favor.

National Super Alliance co-leader Raila Odinga is scheduled to address the nation on Tuesday, August 15. His address comes after he visited Kibera and Mathare constituencies on Sunday, August 13, where anti-Uhuru demonstrations were intense. While there, he, among other NASA allied leaders called for supporters to boycott work the following day, as well as wait for the announcement of NASA’s next move on Tuesday.

Well, in preparation for the opposition leader’s declaration, more security personnel have been deployed across the country in addition to those who have been working since Friday, August 11, to pacify angry demonstrators in opposition strongholds.
According to Capital FM, more officers have especially been deployed to Kisumu county, Mathare, and Kibra constituencies. These areas are in addition to Siaya and Migori counties where protests have been witnessed as residents demonstrated against Uhuru's win.
Among them were calling for mass peaceful protests, demanding an independent audit into the IEBC’s presidential results, petitioning the court through proxies and holding talks with President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta.
