The six Supreme Court judges that will decide who won between the duo i.e Uhuru and Raila (photos)
- Raila Odinga has decided to go to the Supreme Court to contest President Uhuru Kenyata's win.
- He will meet a full bench of seven Supreme Court judges where he will argue his case.
- The petition is supposed to be heard in 14 days time as stipulated in the Constitution.
Raila Odinga will after all go to the Supreme Court to contest President Uhuru Kenyatta's win even after vowing never to take his case there. The court has seven judges who sit in it to listen to cases of high magnitude like a presidential petition among others. The Supreme Court is headed by the Chief Justice who is its president and is mandated by law to hear the petition in 14 days. Raila will meet the following judges as he argues his case: David Maraga - Chief Justice(CJ) and President of the Supreme Court.
He was appointed the CJ in September 2016 after a rigorous interview exercise by the Judicial Service Commission. Maraga was appointed High Court Judge in October 2003 and to the Court of Appeal in 2011 and holds an LLB and LLM from the University of Nairobi. Pic Below:
