Uhuru Kenyatta is still at his rural home ahead of big announcement on the next president of Kenya today

- Uhuru Kenyatta is still at his rural home in Gatundu even as it emerges that the IEBC is set to declare him president-elect.
- The race is down to the two main competitors- Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta- with Uhuru highly likely to win.
 - Raila Odinga has since discredited the entire tallying process and most likely to reject in case Uhuru is declared the winner
 - Preparations are already in top gear at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi for the announcement of the president elect.
 - A presidential candidate needs to garner at least 50+1% of the total votes cast with at least 25% in at least 24 out 47 counties.

Information reaching TUKO.co.ke indicates President Uhuru Kenyatta is still at his Ichaweri home in Gatundu, Kiambu county. This is in spite of IEBC preparing to make their announcement any minute now at Bomas of Kenya. As reported by TUKO.co.ke, preparations at the Bomas of Kenya are at an advanced stage as Kenyans wait with bated breath.
Among those who have touched down at Bomas of Kenya are Uhuru's closest rival, Raila Odinga, and his NASA team who have rejected the provisional results provided by the IEBC.NASA says it believes it leads from its own tallying but IEBC has said it will provide its own final results.
It is not clear why Uhuru is yet to arrive at Bomas but members of his cabinet are already at the venue. They are led by Deputy President William Ruto, cabinet ministers, and security bosses.
